Editing or changing the face of an NPC

Hey u guys!!!!! ^_^

I'm trying to replace Mjoll's face with this one

I like to think of myself as relatively computer savvy, and I modded oblivion quite a bit. However, without the creation kit i don't even know where to start lol

I realize there may be no current way to copy that face specifically. If that is the case, there must be a way to just edit faces in general because I'm sure I saw a mod that removed facepaint (unless they just made the facepaint textures transparent -_-)

Also, before any copyright Nazis try to crawl down my throat, I wont be releasing this.

Any help would be awesome :)

and kudos awarded to even mildly helpful responses >:D

There is a way, it's using TESSnip however through FOMM, and using Skyrim Viewer to view the records. But it's a buggy route.

John managed it however:

http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2188

His quote:

I just used photoshop to edit the files. Each NPC has their own unique face layers. I just found Aela's and edited out the paint. The reason why people get that weird coloring because if you change the layer containing make-up and face-paint, you have to make sure to leave the color surrounding it the same. If you just remove it all together, it will look strange.

Unfortunately so far we have only found a way to change face textures without bugs (like facepaint), hair and hair color however, messes up the NPC... but there is a way, just no one has found it yet, and by that time maybe the CK will already be out

The features themselves, like nose/eyes/etc/proportion/geometry are probably with the hex numbers in the NPC records. But so far I can't find a way to do it bug-free.

If you want to know how to make esps and modify stuff, read this tutorial for a basic change (although it's not a face-changing tutorial):

yeah i was talkin textures only with the pic, the tuts ive seen only explain so much ! i.e. not enough detail to allow potential modders myself to make something everyone could use

So just to wait for it isn't there a Console command to edit NPC faces like using the race menu with an NPC value ?

showracemenu

The above commands will reopen the CC UI, but be wary of changing your RACE, if you do you will lose your racial powers and any other power that has been awarded to you through quests/events up to that point.
