sankojin
I have a mod called tsuki no hana. Some of you may already have it and some of you may not. Here is a link in case you have no idea what I am talking about. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15267/?. Now when I made this mod I only played with it for a couple of minutes to make sure that everything was working. In the past couple of days I have played about 22 hours of the game with a new character and starting the game with my sword. I am not level 17 and if I want to I can upgrade my sword to the final form. Doing this gives me an insanely strong weapon at level 16 if I wanted to have it. I personally feel this is way to soon to have a weapon this strong in the game. I would like ideas and feedback on what level you guys feel would be good to have this sword at? I was thinking 30 to 40. But that leaves me with a problem. Does anyone know if you can put a level requirement on a weapon mod? I was thinking about just doing a high level perk but I don't want to make someone take perks they don't want to just to level up a sword. And if I do chose a perk what one do you guys think would be a good all around perk? I was thinking something in the sneak tree. I also feel that I should have one more upgrade in between the 3rd and final form. Something that adds an effect instead of damage. Would like to have ideas of what you all think? What do you all think? I welcome and constructive feed back.
tartarsauce2
can't you tie the upgrades to perk ranks that are level boundlike for instance, hypothetically (and I have no clue what level values so this is just a mental exercise for show)if blacksmithing 4 was required, and melee skill 4 was required, and one of them required level 70but let's say the other's rank 4 was only level 60, so you had BS or melee 4 and the other one at rank 3 as requirements, then you could get the best upgrade at level 60then that last upgrade would be available at level 70 unless someone made perk ranks by level removed, but that's not your problem :wink:you can thus grab the sword almost immediately from your home, but the upgrades are tied to levels roughly, so now you have a genuine quest if you wanna be the verybesthtatnooneeverwaskatanagottacut'em'alland by doing multiple perk requirements (in melee and blacksmithing) then it adds some flavour, I used those two as examples because personally I think of dealing with blades as something of a dual aspect, knowing what goes into the construction of one, and how it's impacted by things and how its used (whether you're swinging it or making it for swinging, you've gotta maintain it, or testcut with it anyways) I'll give it a go, katanas mostly aren't my thing so I ignored it, but it's very nicely made :) Edited August 31, 2016 by tartarsauce2
sankojin
Thanks Tartarsauce2. May be I didn't word my question correctly. I am asking for input into what perks do you all think I should add to the final form if any? Also if anyone that has been making mods knows of a way besides adding perks to make it so that you cant craft a mod until a certain level? Also what perks as melee users do you all use the most as I don't want to make it so that you are putting points into something stupid. Right now I am testing out ninja perk 2 and the movement speed one perk and the blacksmithing 3 to get to the final form. I also added in a forth mod in between the third from and the final form. The 4th mod will add two damage reductions to the sword. One against humans and the other against robots. The 4th from doesn't add anymore damage just the defense boost. The final form now will add 10 percent movement speed, and the defense boost. What do you all think about this? tartarsauce2
yes, I think that could probably work...?you've just given me an idea as well, see I'm kinda going around poking and prodding at various mod concepts and putting them into my head for an ultimate mod experienceand that thing where weapon mods are based on the perks' ranks that they'd use is great, that means that the gameplay experience is tied to what perks you use, like for instance automatic weapon mods would require commando ranksbut if it were a combat rifle maybe only rank 1 or 2 commando, and for assault rifle you'd want rank 1-2-3-4 commando for the mods---------------------------------ANYWAYS sorry, tsuki no hana! perks, hmm...rusted form - no upgradeblade restoration - 75%+ damageblade sharpening - 90%+ damagenew form A: protect vs robot + new form B: protect vs human?newform AB: protect vs robot + protect vs human?legendary form - 300%+damage, bleed, armour pierce, speed 1.2 :ninja: samegawa ??!?!?!!!?!! - do not know what these are, katana? tanto? wakizashi? legendary?-----------------------------ninja perk 3..... level 33blacksmith 3... level 29big leagues 5.... level 42You now do double damage with a melee weapon, and gain a chance to cripple your opponent, or grand slam their head clean off!https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tameshigiri :ninja:  KATANA LEGENDARY BIG LEAGUES 5!!!!!!!!!!!BIG LEAGUES TAMESHIGIRI!okay okay big leagues 4... level 29 :)KATANA.
