InnerSpike
So one of the updates with the 1.2 patch was that it changed the key that would exit out of sub menus (items, loot, magic, etc). I was looking around for a way to change it back to the way it was. I've gotten used to hitting Tab to exit those menus and relearning Esc to do the same is getting annoying. Not to mention it isn't as fast hitting Esc than it is to hit the Tab key.I can't find the keybind for it in-game or in any files that I looked in. Any help? Pablosky64
But, hitting Tab also works... At least for me. When I first started the game, I spent 5 minutes yelling "this game is broken!!" because I kept pressing Esc to exit a barrel inventory.

I'm guessing you deleted your skyrimpref.ini and skyrim, ini files? InnerSpike
Ocyris
They updated .\Interface\controls\pc\controlmap.txt in the interface bsa. So, if you were running a custom controlmap.txt you'll need to update it, I'd suggest winmerge in such a case. If you rebound the tween menu, the direction menu thing, then it's like bound to that. Basically they simply changed a lot of thing from being hard binds (such as the ones in controlmap) to soft binds. For example before the map movement keys were hardbound to WASD. Now they're only softbound so if you change the standard movement to ESDF then those should work with the map.
InnerSpike
So how exactly should I go about changing that then? I'm not exactly keen with modding myself with bsa files. I'm assuming I just need to go into the interface.bsa file with, say, notepad and figure out how everything is linked (looks like addressing). Still though I'm confused as to what exactly I should do InnerSpike
