SuperSloth34
So yesterday Skyrim starting crashing for me after 5 minutes or fast traveling anywhere. So i reinstalled it and then today i put my graphics settings on low instead of the default high and ultra that they were set at and it fixed the crashes. I have no mods installed and i can play at a consistent 30 fps with things on high and ultra. Why would it be crashing depending on my graphics settings? 560 ti i5 2500k8gb ram

Lixie
There are a few fixes I've seen while looking for a solution to this problem, because I'm having it too!Have you tried going into Steam, right-clicking Skyrim on the left > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity...Another was to go into Control Panel > Sound > Properties > Advanced, and changing the default format to something other than 44100hz. The patch today has apparently fixed this problem, but clearly everyone is having even more problems because of it.Or, you can try downloading the 4GB Skyrim mod. All of these have been fixes for people, but not me. I play for five seconds then ctd.My save file is definitely not corrupt; I just started it.
