Usable photo camera

Well, I have that idea and I don't know if is difficult or impossible but I think it would be a great mod so I share here.

The concept is to make an usable photo camera which you can take photographs. Maybe it could be as a weapon and when you shoot it makes a print screen to your desktop or create a picture that you can put in your houses.

What do you think? Is it a difficult thing to be made or there is any modder who like the idea and woud like to made this mod?

That might be nice. Make a photo of that moment when the USS Constitution took off, or when that mini nuke is just about to hit that Behemoth in the face, or just a picture of Cait or Curie.

Now for the practicality... It sounds like you would need to dynamically create textures, which most certainly would be impossible. Maybe the script extender can expose some rendering functions, or at least allow you to "overwrite" textures of objects? (So that the mod would add 10 blank placeable photos, and whenever you take a photo, the mod sets the texture of one of those to the screenshot. Or something like that)

I don't think that converting a .png or .jpeg screengrab to a .dds texture file to add to a pre-made mesh --the photo frame, for example-- and do it all -on-the-fly and in-game will be possible at all, sorry. However, a mod that adds a working camera that utilizes the screengrab function would be a nice addition, although perhaps pointless. Maybe someone will make it.

Well, thinking about it I have to admit that converting .pngs ingame looks very impossible... Maybe an aditional tutorial to help people to makes simples mods to integrate their custom photos to the game or some kinf of generator? Anyway, A camera mod with a screengrab function looks very nice to me too and I'd like really much if someone makes that mod!
