tateel
I had the same problem even after uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Turned out to be caused by the Val Crafting Meltdown MOD I was using. All of the other MODs I am using appear to work ok (I am running about 25). I do have to use the Skyrim4g patch to avoid numerous crashes. Hope this helps - it took me about 4 hours to work this out. My first post ever on Nexus. Mallendar
I tried you suggestions. Thanks. However, I still have the problem of not being able to use the arrow keys for menu navigation. Any suggestions? Is there a workaround for menu navigation is this can't be corrected. Also, is there a way to uninstall this game? It does not appear in my uninstall menu. Thanks. tateel
I used the uninstall option from the DVD. In Steam you can also right click on the title and select delete local content. I don't think it will remove your save games but I would suggest backing them up. Disable all MODs before you uninstall and try to restart with only the Skyrim esm. Then add MOD back in if it starts working. If that doesn't work I am out of ideas. Good luck - I know it's frustrating.
Thor.
Hmmm i think i might stay away from this update if its truely as game breaking as they claim. I fixed my crashes and so on with the 4gb exe mod. http://www.skyrimnex...ile.php?id=1013 I have come across no glitches as of yet with this mod, its a life saver    Edited December 1, 2011 by Thor. onlyoneskwalla
Have you tried verifying the game cache after patching? mine skyrim did a weired loop after 1.1 and wouldn't play until I did that?
marcoll
Have you tried verifying the game cache after patching? mine skyrim did a weired loop after 1.1 and wouldn't play until I did that? I had the same problem and was also solved for me by no longer loading Vals Crafting Meltdown Alpha. This addon does not appear to agree with the patch.
