hipolipolopigus
Regardless, there are countless people with issues. More than what 1.1 had.
XxTaLoNxX
We would have to wait 15 years between games....... so that's not really a great hypothetical situation. But I do love the quality level in Blizzard games.Woah, woah, woah. I assume you're talking lore/stability quality. The graphics of WoW are the reason I haven't played in a while :P But yeah, there is a certain ground that needs to be established between quality and reaching obnoxious release dates. Perhaps Bethesda should adopt Blizzard's definition of "Soon" over setting a release date almost a year before the game is "ready". I can understand why people immediately think of WoW when Blizzard is mentioned but I was actually referring to their OTHER masterpieces that take 15 years to produce between games. Those would be Diablo and Starcraft.

WoW has their PTRs for a month or two before each patch. Not sure how it'd go with a single-player game, but is there really any reason not to? Brittainy
I'll be sticking around alright  Incidentally, thought of a few other little things: Why give us a landscape brimming with mountains and no climbing? At the very least, a compromise such as GTA IV has would be nice: i.e. the ability to leap and grab hold of a high fence / wall / object and hoist yourself up over it / onto it. Or hang from a ledge and move sideways. Frankly, the jump and hoist is the LEAST a game should offer in this day and age. Anything less is sheer laziness. And, a major annoyance for me, the character creation system. WHY do we have less sliders and customization options than we had in Oblivion? Why lock certain hairstyles off for certain races? I realise Bethesda seem to specialise in dreadful sliders, ugly characters and shitty character creation systems, but to go backwards in that department is really ridiculous. Hair colours - give us ANY colour we want. Same way Sims 3 and Oblivion did it. Why confine us to a handful of ugly shades? Look at Image Share. Even the men are VAIN. This is a fact, however much some people might deny it. Facial sliders - take a tip from the Sims 2. One of the most detailed character creation set of sliders I've come across and that game is hardly 'new'. Hair styles. Bethesda isn't the only guilty party when it comes to rotten hair in games, but they are one of the worst offenders. The hair in their games is appalling. The textures are awful, the styles are rotten. Again, if we look to the Sims 2 and Oblivion modding communities, their hairstyles absolutely s*** all over the Vanilla hair. In every possible way. And they offer LONG hair. In case Bethesda hasn't bothered looking in the Image Share section - most females are sporting LONG hair. In spite of the clipping. I realise to some people character creation isn't the be-all end-all, but come on. There is NO excuse in any game these days to offer a character creation menu so dreadful and small and out of date. :wallbash:

The alignment mechanics are a right pain in the arse and let's face it, they barely got their own game right as it is  One more thing for them to get wrong? Perhaps when we see the CK, we'll see great things (Or should that be "if we see the CK"?). I too was shocked at the lack of customization. I got Saints Row The Third the other day. I nearly cried at the customization there (Also wall scaling  ); everything can be customized. Right down to the shape of the temples. Where the heck are our hair length sliders like in Oblivion? Why can't we have a color palette (US spelling, I dislike US spelling :ermm:) for choosing our hair color? It's not hard to do. Surely the hair colors aren't all pre-defined textures? Perhaps we'll have to wait for the CK. Again. Or perhaps there's a menu SWF that can be modded already. Good grief! And yes, the hair styles make me wanna gag xD This is quickly turning into a bashing thread, which is likely going to get it closed... Not the intent at all... Perhaps BethSoft really did fail us with Skyrim? Edited December 1, 2011 by hipolipolopigus

stimresp
The reason this will fail is because, despite the legitimate complaints re: 1.2, people here are still complaining about the colour of their character's hair FFS. Put yourself in Bethesda's shoes for a second - who would YOU listen to?
