Now, I'm not a scripter, I'm also a self-taught user of mods, so - (hope my kind is welcome at this inn......)

but I've been modding since just after Oblivion came out, I've made all the mistakes you can make at least twice each.

I have tried almost all the BIG texture packs and overall game changing mods (you'll hear about them all no doubt) but have recently switched to another approach-

Koldorn's small, individual texture packs that change a particular set of graphics, for instance caves and tunnels - he (she?) has a sewer one and several others.

These you can OMOD in and turn on and off or better, manually add tham.

I hope this gets some responses going for you, negative or positive about my POV, just to make things interesting.

SB

p.s. go to the TES NEXUS site and look at the Top 100 Mods and you'll find the favorite texture mods in that list

So are you looking for texture packs? If so, go to THIS site. It has some great texture mods listed with a little caption about each. That site is a good place to start. There are other great texture replacement mods not listed there, of course.

You can use the Streamline mod (google it) to improve performance, which you really want to use if you decide to use Qarl's texture pack. You can even improve the quality of a few things.
