timagrover
I'm running a stock clocked AMD Phenom II X4 1090t and crossfired AMD HD 6850 video cards. I decided to give Eyefinity a try today and it didn't go so well, I don't think HD 6850's are quite enough to run a game such as Skyrim in eyefinity, and that's fine. The issue though, is that since I tried it (I've since disabled it) I can't get the FPS that I was getting before the attempt. With the latest card drivers that can support CrossfireX I was able to squeeze out 40-50 fps in the field and 60 indoors with ease. Now, even with lowish settings I'm only getting around 20fps. Also, I've noticed that the load times have become much longer, with the little lore text on the load screen changing 3-4 times where it only displayed one or two before. Another change I made was to move my steam folder to a new SSD, but I ran the game off the SSD before trying Eyefinity and it worked great. I have no idea what would have cause this drastic drop in performance. Any help would be appreciated.
