Ravers Posted December 1, 2011 Share Posted December 1, 2011 Hello. (Not sure if I should post this here or in technical support.) I'm having a rather annoying problem with Skyrim after I installed the mods Realistic water, Smoke and Embers and Landscape Texture Pack, and ran the game with 4GB Skyrim. When I fist started the game, this distorted kinda ringing-noise appeared in the main menu. I'm not sure how I shall describe it, maybe like the sound a cell phone can make in your speakers, only it was one flat tone. It faded after a few seconds, though and I can't hear it in the actual game except when I enter the settings menu, general stats and quest log. I can hear it slightly in Inventory and after running the game for a while, the sound has faded a bit in the other menus.I deleted all the mods and started the game directly from Steam; the nose was still there. I deleted everything and re-installed the whole game; noise still there. I wish there was a reload button on real life, because I really hope I have not permanently messed up my game now. Please don't tell me I would have to reinstall my whole computer in order to fix this. I've tried to google the problem, but no one seem to have encountered the same problem. Skyrim has never given me this noise before, until I started it with 4GB Skyrim. Is there any way to fix this?Thankful for help. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ABrokenRadio Posted December 1, 2011 Share Posted December 1, 2011 I have this same noise before i installed any mods, though i think mine is only after starting the game not during the game, so i don't think it is a mod thing. As you have shown, i would think, by the fact you have reinstalled the whole game. But i don't know that for sure. All i know is i remember hearing the noise before any mods too.
