Skyrim Trapped in Startupscreen

Hi Guys,

 

I got a problem (who couldn't guess?). I'm using the steamversion of Skyrim and after Steam patched my Skyrim to 1.2 I couldn't play it anymore.

When I click it to start, the startup screen appears (with the Skyrim symbol and the fog), but the menuoptions on the right just don't appear.

I have been waiting for about half an hour, but nothing happend and after searching the web for hours you guys are my last hope.

I had exactly the same problem after installing the 1.2 patch (Some update huh?). Anyway, I managed to fix it by removing all of my currently installed mods from the Data folder.

 

After I could play again I dropped each mod back in one by one until it didn't work again to identify the conflicting mod. The mod that seamed to be causing the problem for me was one that altered the graphcs slightly, so on removing it the launcher re-checked my hardware and reset my graphics settings. Perhaps this is what needed to be done.

Edit: It was like you said. For me it was the "Vals Crafting Meltdown Alpha". Sadly to say it was the mod I liked the most :(
