Merloc91
I started playing Skyrim the day it came out with a really low quality system Nvidia GT 220 Video CardIntel Core2 Duo E4300 Processor - 1.80GHz2GB RamWindows 7 64x UltimateIDE 120GB Hard Drive The game worked well for about 15 hours of gameplay and then started to randomly freeze up for 15 to 20 seconds at a time then return to normal for a while. I Figured my specs were maybe a little low and perhaps my old IDE hard drive wasn't spinning fast enough to keep up with the game so I upgraded a bit Nvidia GTX 550ti Video CardIntel Core2 Duo E4300 Processor - 1.80GHz4GB RamWindows 7 64x UltimateSATA 320GB Hard Drive I reinstalled everything needed to run Skyrim and nothing else. It was a fresh Windows 7 install and Skyrim install along with DirectX and Newest Nvidia Drivers as well as my newest Motherboard Drivers. This didn't work so I also tried everything with a 32 bit Windows 7 install The game currently starts up fine. It configures my settings to High and loads to the main menu. I am able to select a new game and start the wagon ride entrance into the city. When I get to the front gate of the city the game crashes to the desktop everytime in the exact same place. The sound works fine I can hear everyone talk and it isnt distorted at all. I have tried every fix I can find on these forums and am at the end of my rope with this game. Any info would be appreciated. ThanksMer Edited December 1, 2011 by Merloc91
