Thessil
Im new to the elder scrolls game, but I was very pleased to see how atleast martial combat was applied in game (I hear magic was downplayed more, which kinda sucks, but isn't really my thing anyway) Still, one of the first things that irked me was the inability to parry with dual wielded weapons.I understand its just part of the game design, but it still kind of dampens my imagination with what to do in game, even though dodging left and right while trying to get some daggers into some bandit is still fun. Anyhow, I figured a good mod would be one that utilizes the extra mouse buttons most people have nowadays to add individual block buttons to dual weidled weapons, which would work something like this: -while dual wielding, mouse button 1 and 2 will still be the attack buttons, but mouse buttons 3 and 4 will become block buttons for those weapons. -just like dual-attacks, you can hold both block buttons to block a single attack with greater power than individual weapons. -dual wielding attacks and blocks are directional, a left side block would be more effective against an attack coming from that side, and vice versa. This idea of incorporating more mouse buttons would also let us improve other weapon systems: -two handed attacks can now be directed without moving the character a certain way, left mouse button for left side attack, vice versa, and both mouse buttons for middle -two handed blocks can also be directed with same system. -shields can use the attack button to slam an opponent and the block button to block. Id love something like this to be implemented, it'd make controlling the characters actions in battle much easier
cppcooper
Those buttons are hard to use in the heat of anything. They are mostly only good for navigating the guis
Thessil
Depends on your mouse really, and your ability to train your hand eye coordination. I have two on the side of my mouse that I learned to use very often in other fast paced games.
