OGDA
Hello, my keyboard setup is so that I use R to move forward and F to move backward. The item deposit key unfortunately also is on R and can't be remapped. Before patch 1.2 this was no problem, since the Numpad 2 key could be used to deposit items into a storage, too. Since patch 1.2 (PC) the key Numpad 2 doesn't work anymore, making Skyrim unplayable for me.(I'm not remapping the movement keys I've used in EVERY 3d game for the last 15 years and I'm not remapping keys everytime I want to deposit an item). There is a roleback to patch 1.1, but this also means, that all future patches are unusable to me until the key mapping issue is fixed.http://games.softpedia.com/get/Patch/Skyrim-Patch-1-2-Rollback-Fix.shtml I've written two e-mails to Bethesda, got no reply (I'm not expecting to get one, I know they are probably working hard (probably on the console version, it can't be the PC version)). Instead of making patches that force their customers to start with steam or that render keys useless, how about fixing the ****** up PC User interface, Bethesda? Now that would be a surprise... Sorry, I'm really frustrated right now. Edited December 1, 2011 by OGDA
Michlo
I don't suppose you have backups of your INI files do you? That's all I could suggest. I had to re-map a couple of keys after the patch but they weren't critical ones and so I was still fine to move forward with what I always have done. Good luck. James009
I've been having problems with remapping of the controls too. I'm not a WASD player and use the directional pad basing my controls around it. I too find it very difficult to use many of the buttons. For example, I CANNOT hit "F" and favorite an item (this has never worked)... it's ridiculous. Maybe I'll try deleting or editing the ini file... again.
