damstachizz
Hey guys, need some help..Just bought a new Laptop, an Asus G1S..Specs are2.2ghz C2D2gb 667mhz ramNvidia 8600M GT, 256mb + 767mb shared - Overclocked (about 25%)200gb, 4000RPM HDD (upgrade soon)Vista Ultimate 32bit. problem: Yesterday, i saved my game in the imperial city..i had the 4096x4096 textures, with ALL settings on their maximum, at 1680x1050, AA at x4, and HDR on..It would run at 17FPS~ in the Imperial city with about 6 NPCs..Now, today, after installing the Deadly Reflex Mod, i had all the same settings..But it would run at about 16FPS, but it would be HELLA chuggy..as in, every 2 seconds, it would drop to about 3FPS, then recover.I disabled Deadly Reflex, and the same happened. I figured, maybe its something to do with my ram..so, i Completely reboot vista, end All non-essential proccess's, and Overclock my 8600 to the max it will go without Artifacting. Same thing, but with about 18FPS down to 6FPS. I have tried messing with the settings, but it does the EXACT same thing..even when it s at 800x600 with no AA.. This should NOT be happening with my specs..Especially considering the fact that i was getting Great framerates yesterday.. Mods..300ft Crime det.alive watersbabe hairblack lusterbrighter torchesDeadly reflex natural enviromentsoya 4 hairsrens beauty pack 4096x4096 texturesTopless only nude mod (forgot name) Thats all i can Think of. Some help would be nice, Thanks, Matt.

1Prelude
As a bandaid solution, I'd suggest reinstalling the game. I always make a back up of the original Data folder after a fresh reinstall for reasons like that. If some mod screws up your game, you can just overwrite the Data folder with the original and re-install all the mods.Sorry I can't be more scientific. On another note, I used to use Vista but found it was entirely too slow. It's a huge memory hog (they recommend 4 gb to run it smoothly) So yeah I suggest downgrading to XP. I did that and got a nice performance jump.
