AzBoGaming93
Someone please find the hidden broadcast room, place it in an actual building that unlocks, and give us a quest to reactivate the station so that TVs can finally be useful again! i have seen this before... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70aw7xYodZ0 <if thats what your referring to :P i guess someone would have to make a building, i personally have never seen a building that could look like a broadcasting studio :P
Floymin
That's exactly what I was referring to!I guess the best way to do it with existing exteriors is to either copy the one for WRVR or the one for the BADTFL Office and just add a broadcast tower. Zaklex55
Umm, you could use the GNN/Gunners building for the newscast, since that is what it was for, there's even a room for broadcasting already there, but you'd have to remove the spawn points for the Gunners , or just copy the building model in a new mod. Floymin
I forgot about GNN. Thanks. But why would the modder have to remove the spawn points for the Gunners when they could still be part of the quest?Also... why did the forum macro mark GNN and Gunners as Spoilers when there is no vanilla quest involving them? MaesterAelix
This could lead to a neat "gunners quest"
Floymin
The reason I am asking HERE, is:1. I wouldn't know where to find the cell in the GECK.and2. I wouldn't know the commands for re-animating the pre-war broadcast sequence.
AGreatWeight
Video on the tv is simply a set of .dds files that contain all the frames that make up the video and plays it in a flip-book style. The pre-war broadcaster runs on a loop -around 3-4 minutes-, and will just repeat over and over again. It'd be way easier and less time consuming to just use Videos of the Wasteland mod, and make a holotape containing the pre-war broadcast/er; the mod author of VotW has a helpful tutorial on his youtube page that goes through all the steps to make your own videos. Would have been nice to bring TV to the entire Commonwealth, and not just hoard it for myself. Still... I'm glad someone managed to get the concept started. AGreatWeight
Yeah, I agree that it's a little odd that you can activate all those satellite arrays to boost radio signals, but that they omitted to include an emergency broadcast of some sort for the TVs generally.Seems like Bethesda missed an opportunity there, or ignored it... or ran out of time.Perhaps they used the logic that the emergency broadcast was damaged/destroyed, but then you'd think that we'd still have static.
