Floymin
Yeah, I agree that it's a little odd that you can activate all those satellite arrays to boost radio signals, but that they omitted to include an emergency broadcast of some sort for the TVs generally.Seems like Bethesda missed an opportunity there, or ignored it... or ran out of time.Perhaps they used the logic that the emergency broadcast was damaged/destroyed, but then you'd think that we'd still have static. Can't believe I forgot to mention the other rationale for my idea:Why would there be a test pattern on the TV if there wasn't a signal still active somewhere? The only answer I can offer to that is, because Bethesda.I know that's not really an answer, but that's what I'm getting at.
MaesterAelix
I would imagine a tv studio is more trouble than its worth since not everyone has access to tv's and radio is so much easier and accessable. In game I would think the national emergency broadcast system would be heavily guarded.

In Post-War America, the Enclave is the only form of national military I've seen in the Fallout universe, and there is no physical appearance of them in this iteration other than leveled X-01 Power Armor. As mentioned by others in this thread, the GNN building is only guarded by Gunners. Had Bethesda bothered to make the GNN building a strategic target, the Brotherhood of Steel would have given the player a quest to clear it out to be occupied. The GNN building is not just guarded by the Gunners, it's the headquarters of the Gunners...so you'd think the BoS would've sent you after them anyways(wouldn't want them interfering in our plans now, would we. I thought the Gunners headquarters was the Gunners Plaza just east of the marshland near the Glowing Sea.
