Landscape and Statics Water Reflections?

I'm really confused why only LOD objects are reflected in the water. Oblivion had reflections for everything. All the water mods are great and all, but without these basic water reflections, it will never ever look realistic. It makes the water look like it has a layer of light diffusing oil at all times.

 

Does anyone know why there aren't proper reflections in the water nor why any amount of INI tweaking can add them? Is this something that can be fixed now or with CK or does a graphics extender need to be written first?

 

I really think the game in general would look 100% better with this basic feature.

One more reason in a long list of reasons I'd like to snipe all involved with the creation of the XBOX. It needs to die, it's such an outdated POS. :/

I think Microsoft is more to blame than Xbox users...same goes for the PS3, one of the very good reasons why I wouldn't be caught dead with a current Sony camera.

Yes, after having high-res textures installed, i now know why the water is so lowres, it is because to hide the nonexistent reflections! Truly, what were they thinking? :facepalm:

 

But hey, as you know, it is all about the money, right? No need to add a feature, just put a lowres blanket over it

and quickly sell it off.

Yes the rivers look pretty.... but other than that the water in skyrim is awfull.

Worse than morrowind in some aspects, for instance the fact that a large area of the lake near riften has no water in it, when swimming underwater there's no lighting changes at certain depths, there's little to no ripples when walking in it (only very specific bodies of water react), the water edge is made up of jagged lines, and it doesn't look even slightly realistic in large bodies (these points aside... the little streams look great)

 

These observations were made on ultra settings on PC aswell.
