Xifrostyy
just bought skyrim and decided to play around and learn how to mod. now i didnt add much modding to it at all. before even adding any mods i noticed that while i was in combat every time i would swing with a weapon there would be no noise. even during combat i could not really hear swords clashing or anything. even kill moves doesnt have a sound. is there a fix to this? ive already downloaded the legendary patch and added improved combat sounds to see if it would fix the issue but still, the same thing occurs. (i removed the mod since) i have skyrim downloaded to my hdd drive because on my ssd there is only 50gb left. i also want to mention that foot steps as well does not appear to have sound to it. ive heard things like removing the steam appcache folder or simply installing it on my ssd. only issue i have with that is i wont have alot of memory to play around with mods if i do that. Luka25565
Go to your skyrim root folder (where TESV.exe is) and open the DiarectX10 folder. then run the exe. For me its called DXSETUP it will fix almost all missing sounds. You can also get an alternative which changes the sound BUT NOT ALL OF THEM. You can have a look at the mod here and here. There is also this one but this is only the magick.

Project579
You might want to try making Skyrim vanilla again If using NMM disable all of your mods then do this (with MO you don't need to do anything): http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Make_Skyrim_Vanilla_Again
rudyskyrim65
I have an old MacBook pro and Skyrim works without an audio issue. Got a new 2017 MacBook Pro and there is no sound associated with the weapons. The only difference is the sound card. Is there any solution to this problem?
