Make Skyforge Great Again

The skyforge is unique, it's legendary in lore... but in actual capabilities, it's nothing but a different skin on items. I couldn't find a good mod that handles skyforge with a lore friendly and balanced approach.

I suggest that skyforge is a place that sits on an intersection of powerful ley lines of Nirn. Aedric and Daedric entities, as well as mortals with powers that can break the barrier can unleash powers of the forge, if they are there in the correct time and have the correct materials.

Option a:

Spend 3 dragon souls to create items of unusual power that have %10 stronger base stats and boost voice-related powers. (%10 more damage OR %10 faster cooldown etc.) Can only be done once per month, at midday of 15th day.

Option b:

Deliver 300 mana into forge at once and loose 10 permenant mana when creating the item to bind it to ether, making it able to carry much stronger enchantments, represented by %5 power boost on any enchantment put on item and %5 more soul storage capacity. Can only be done once per month at morning of the first day.

Option c:

Only if at the last stage of vampirisim, sacrifice a follower to create an armor piece with direct damage reduction of %3, or a weapon that has %10 lifesteal. Can only be done in periods of new moon.

Option d:

Only if you have full tree with full points of a werewolf, create items with %5 higher base stats and +%5 base health and stamina regeneration. Can only be done in periods of full moon.

Option e:

Sacrifice 7 daedra hearts to make it double the effects of any other options AND one of the following: %2 lifesteal, %2 manasteal, %2 endurance steal, +10 mana, +10 life, +10 endurance, or +10% to one of the resistances. Can be done anytime, but only once per month.

Ritual of the masterwork:

With 75 Blacksmith skill and 75 alchemy skill, once per season you can create an item with incredible potential, a mold that can only be shaped in time. Such an item will receive double the bonus when tempered in workbench or grindstone. Creating such an item requires 20 void salts.

Ritual of the masterpiece:

With 100 Blacksmith skill, only once per character, you can break the time limitations and do all options and rituals at once if you meet the other requirements, and create your masterpiece. An item that will be named after you, an artefact to survive for centuries, and make you legendary.

Number of options can be increased, but the general idea is to

a) be very strong somehow, be special in something, like the dragonborn, master vampire, strong werewolf, capable warrior etc.

b) pay something dear, whether daedra heart or a follower or your own life energy.

c) only available during a special day, night, season or other time point.

d) profit.

The bonuses I suggest may sound low, but consider there is an option to double them, and the character will have many other bonuses. Like, in option b, the character will already have tons of enchantment bonuses which will stack with this. Numbers can be tied to MCM anyway.

Overall, the idea is to give some major importance to Skyforge. Eorlund can sel masterwork items, which he made at the forge over the years (applied ritual of masterwork). Such items would be what made him called the best smith in Skyrim.

I hope someone picks up the idea...

First and foremost, you're not going to be winning any friends with T word references.

Two mods that i use that pretty much forfill some of this are Ordinator and Morrowloot 4e

Ordinator allows you to turn a single forge into a blood forge, allowing items smithed there to give the PC a permanent boost to stats. Don't give me that look, the Dovahkin's blood is sacred to Akatosh. Just put a little blood on the skyforge and it becomes the only forge worth using in the game afterwords.

Morrowloot 4e makes it so that you can only forge ebony equipment at the skyforge. Combined with ebony being removed from the leveled lists and daedric being limited to a single set spread across Skyrim, you're pretty much going to be turning to the Skyforge for your final (heavy) equipment setup.
