Razgriz1Blaze Posted December 2, 2011 Share Posted December 2, 2011 Hey, I had this idea back on ES4 but never had time to try to implement it. I wanted to try and build a player owned castle where you have a small garrison force and, periodically, you will have to defend it from bandits or some such. I am willing to put in work on this mod but I will definitely need help with it. I haven't tried anything quite this big before. There was a similar thing in Oblivion with the Kvatch aftermath mod. It was a great mod but buggy on my comp due to the other 50~ mods I was running with it. So I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to try this since it will be a fairly new thing and I haven't modded it yet. This is just an idea I have had and havn't had adequate opportunity to try out. So if anyone is willing to lend a newb modder a hand I would be grateful. The only thing I've done in the past was NIF editing and 3d Animation for FO3 and NV. But I never put anything out as it wasn't anthing useful or neat, mostly just me messing around. might be neat to add a few animated weapons though :P Anyway, this will of course have to wait for the construction set to be released but I'd like to get some people together and brainstorm a bit before this mod gets started. I was looking more to a scenic location off the beaten path where it should be a nice retreat from the game world. Where you can rest, relax, train, and fight to your hearts content. I still dont have a concrete idea yet but thats what I was looking for others to help with. I don't want to get together people and then tell them what I want. I want a group of people who can add their own ideas so when we finally do get the con set we may be able to build a good comprehensive and diverse mod that will hopefully continue to grow as we come up with new and interesting content for it. I do want to do quite a bit of work on it to tie it into the game so that the transition isn't jarring or anything. Possibly tying it into a quest as a reward. Not sure yet though. I don't want to do the whole haunted castle thing, its been done so many times it would be more tedious than interesting to complete. Sorry, I'm just rolling along here. I'll post back if there seems to be anyone interested in helping with this. I can't do it alone. I could but it wouldn't be done for a LOOONNNNNGGG time. My hope is to get it done with reasonable speed given the scope I have in mind for it. But thanks for the redirect, I may get with him and see if we can't do something to maybe tie this into his somehow maybe as a second "hidden" fortress or something.
