Erickdr Posted December 2, 2011 Share Posted December 2, 2011 So, I'm not sure about you guys, but I don't like it when, before spending sometime adjusting the aim and waiting for the right time to strike the blow just come out as a poor hit. I'm actually getting tired of fighting bandits that stay alive with arrows stuck in their heads. Or when they keep hitting after my warhammer descendend upon their skulls. So, as I'm no modder - just a humble and simple gamer with frustraded expectations - i'd like to suggest and discuss these ideas: 1 - Lethal blows: not just the Deathblows that already exist - which, in my opinion, were good improvements - but to actually make some areas more susceptible to some hits, heavier or more precise, depending on the area. Like an arrow or crushing blow to the head or knees, for example. Which could, of course, varying according to armour wearing.2 - Damage Effects and Variations - the possibility of more effective damage with, for example, Bleeding or Pain effects, to affect movement speed and status changing, stamina or life lost... such things, to improve staggering situations. Like a well placed blow to the legs, or a precise strike in the dorso. 3 - Dodging: It's not a matrix-like-dodging-bullets style. Nor a desperated roll in random directions. Is more like a footwork, or head/dorso bend. Some moves to help you avoid incoming blows, instead of taking them while waiting for your opponents to open his guard. This would make combat more strategical and lethal, if you include the Lethal Blows and Damage Variations suggestions. That's some of it, that in my opinion could make the game combat more interesting. But, as I said before, i'm no modder, so I'm ave no idea how much work it would demand to do such changes, or even if it's possible without changing a lot of other engine-related stuff. So, tha'ts my littel contribution, an idea. if some good and enlightened soul could at least try or take these as base for a mod, it would buit great. Please, share your thoughts.
