telekinesis spell

I've tried to use telekinesis to pick up stuff and hurl(word usage: meaning to throw; not meaning to puke) it at whatever or whomever

i.e. a highwayman, but the spell seems to fail to do anything except glow magenta and then do nothing.

 

I have the official game guide but it doesn't talk about usage.

 

I did use the search function but it only came up with some "wouldn't it be cool"s and some sort of story.

As for puking...(small LOL).....wouldn't it be cool to hurl at your enemies i.e projectile vomiting.

I see that a certain mod maker used a certain blood fountain in the oblivion plane as a animated fountain of blood from a neck or chest

so changing it from blood to, in the color chart(CS),puke green or yellow wouldn't be too hard would it? and have it exit your pc's mouth or even NPCs mouths.

Telekinesis is just...there. I think it's in the game just to help you get tiny stuff that may be out of your reach.

 

Although, I've never tried walking into a store in broad daylight, using Telekinesis on every item and drop them all in a dark corner before picking them up.

 

I think it would be quite cool to actually use Telekinesis as a weapon--like hurling (lol) a conveniently placed Alembic at a conveniently placed bandit who'll get clobbered on the head, lose a bit of life and spin around with his weapon drawn saying:

 

"I've got to cut down on the ale..."

It's a mysticism spell. ;)

 

(much better spells out there for that). In Morrowind, it was great in Dwemer ruins trying to nap cogs or artifacts you could 'see' but not raech.. but its use just doesn't have the same feel anymore.

In Morrowind you could also trigger traps from a distance with telekinesis without getting hit.

 

I find it (unless someone can give me a very good use and example besides shop stealing) just a novelty. And shop stealing isn't even worth it in Oblivion for all the items "on display" are crappy lv.1 - lv.5 items anyway which quickly become obsolete and valueless (more or less).

From a gameplay perspective telekinesis is useless. You can use it to take unreachable welkynd stones, but if you have telekinesis you are probably a mage, so you can knock it off with a fireball or an arrow too. Telekinesis can be funny. If you use telekinesis on a sigil stone, you can more or less use it to push npc's up into the sky. And then they fall... :wink:

Can one use this to open the fort gates? I haven't tried yet, but as all forts have a gate that you usually open once you've traveled completely around the fort, I suppose if you could operate the latch through the grate it would be useful.

 

Though it's usually more profitable to venture the full fort for items, loot, etc... again I've not tried it yet but it was a though.
