Hey, concerning the question on ancestral tombs that i was looking at but cant find again, today i made 13k in the ancestral tomb near balmora, i captured the souls of the ghost and of the greatter whats-it-face. so, i think they are very useful. BIG QUESTION:what level would u consider a good morrowind player? and were do u sell items that are worth a lot. because none of the traders have enough cashola

A far more difficult question IMO is defining what makes a 'good Morrowind player'. I assume you are not using the word good as the antithesis of evil but as perhaps adept or experienced. A glance through other posts will show how some people like to stay as low a level as they can to make the fights as tough as possible. Others see the challenges in other ways. Some enjoy killing everything that moves and others won't kill unless they really have to. Also level in itself is meaningless as with all the enchantments available a level 17 character can be stronger than one at 40.

 

IMHO a good player is one who has gone through the 'wheee let's kill it' phase, and most do, and begin to play the game as Bethesda probably intended. To rise through the various guilds you are obliged to level up but I can't think there is a specific optimum level.

 

Other opinions would be gratefully received.

I agree with Malchik, there is no lvl that once you've reached you may say, Hey... I'm good... It depends from player to player. Although when you've finished the main quest you might say, you have quiete a decent character but not a godlike one.

And whats a godlike then I hear you saying? That depends, you have those hack'n slash godlikes who kill daedras with one or two blows and you've got those really powerfull mages who do a whole bunch of damage by just one spell witch they problably created by their own.

It's not a mmorpg, you decide when you find that you have a decent character not the community

yeah, ever since bloodmoon working and the skill limit uncap mod, i left my computer on all night with a ball bearing on the shift and w keys, my character was doing that to a wall for 2 days straight, ive been doing this with getting hit by weak creatures too, and im level 92 and half way through another level, although, i may have so much health and all, but i still get killed easily, for not playing the game the proper way, so i was weak.

 

but whatever you do

 

do not leave a weight on w and shift while on ground, when i woke up, i went from balmora to the end of solthseim...then i died.

yeah I mean killing stuff for the sake of leveling up is very much a habit from previous games of various types but when I sat back and started to explore and learn then I experienced the true meaning or immersion & role play. To aid in this I have disabled the map instead relying on the same skills one would navigate with in real life, and never touch the gamma when it's dark instead using torches even if it means you can't use shield... for example could you wield a sword, shield and torch in real life with only 2 hands? You'd probably set yourself on fire during a fight :blink:

In respond to the question about big money traders that i asked, i have already discovered the creeper, and as i have stated in another thread, i lost my map, and until now i have failed to do any exploring, but i have no clue where mzanch is, please inform me.

Your best bet is to use the map on the UESP forum. This will save you a load of time asking for specific directions on these forums. You select what you want to find and it pinpoints it for you. Also, if you haven't got the Tribunal expansion buy it. It gives a map of Morrowind as well as Mournhold.

Mzanch is east of Vivec (roughly in line with the Telvanni canton IIRC but the map will show it clearly). Another way to get there is to go south and a little bit west from the Telasero stronghold. The ruin is on an island adjacent to the mainland coast.
