  1. 1. Do you like/watch horror films?

    • Yes, there's nothing I won't watch. I even watch the extreme stuff. What?!

    • Yes, but I have a weak stomach so I only watch the classics/ones that aren't too bloody

Comes to mind, that Kubricks "Shining" from 1980 with Jack Nicholson had me turn on the light a few nights. Nicholson is so great an actor, that it can be a horror only to look at his face.

There wasn't really a choice there for me... I like some horror films, particularly zombie films with lots of gore. However, I dislike ghost movies, and slasher flicks. I'm kind of a weird one.

Oddly though, I have a special place in my DVD collection for Stephen King's stuff. IT had be terrified as a child, today it's just awesome :) and the book is, as in all cases, far superior.

Though my favorite is "Kill Bill" by Quentin Tarantino, I allways end up laughing at it all and thinking, what kind of sick mind can forge such ideas?

You think Kill Bill is horror, or am I misunderstanding your post?

Anyway - I think The Ring and Ju-On 2 (Both japanese) are pretty scary. Gets under your skin, and stays there for weeks after watching it.

Not gory or anything - just, creepy.

And the only Zombie type movie that ever scared me was [REC] (Spanish)

I do not care for slasher movies...I don't think those are horror...they just surprise you. I always yell at the dumb females that don't take off their high heels when they run. I like a good scary movie though....but I still turn all the lights on afterwards. *grin*

Scariest movie ever made..in my opinion.

The Exorcist.

Nuff said.

The Exorcist is on of the few that genuinely scared me. I don't like slsher films really, except for the first Halloween in 1978 and the first Nightmare on Elm Street. The only other films that geuinely scared me were:

Event Horizon

Candyman

Halloween

the Thing (1982 version)

It's not often that they affect me deeply. Gross me out, disturb me a bit, get under my skin, yes.

oooh props for event horizon

the only other horror movie that genuinly scares me other then event horizon and the excorcist is kubrick's shining

event he absence of music just makes it scarier

slasher flics on the whole bore me
