Lachdonin
i've always wondered if i was enough of a bad*** assassin for the dark brotherhood would i become another nightmother or nightfather like immortal ghostly character? There is only one Night Mother, and she is more of a traitor to the Morag Tong than anything... Certian powerful figures in Dark Brotherhood history can be summoned back at Sithis' whim, but you cannot, and will never be able to reach the status of the Night Mother. As for who gets your soul, Sithis, eventually. Sithis is another name for Padomay, the elemenatl essence of change, and as such all Daedra are his 'children'. Except maybe Jygalyg. Anyway, there is nothing demanding your soul, as a Dragon Born, be given over to the Divines, and you pledge yourself to several Daedra, meaning eventually it's going to find its way to Sithis eventually. Regardless of whether you serve him/it or not.
stillinferno
You know, I'm not sold on the idea that I'm just a regular joe like them...or that I'm actually of the race I chose to play. I was wondering if I'm some minor deity, like Aphrodite who showed up on the shore one day; she was never born she just suddenly is. Is my character not of the same ilk? I gain skills, power, influence, friends, enemies, in just a matter of weeks, the only thing slowing me down is the traveling. Then there is the question of my parents.Somehow no one has ever seen me before, eventhough I'm a Nord and I go all over the place, I see everyone, but no one claims to know me or my parents? It's also possible I'm a full blooded Nord who was born in Daggerfall. That would work as that's entirely possible, except for one small detail, I'm only called a "Kinsmen" after I've taken form as a Nord, so I must not have been a Nord (or anything else) until that point. So I clearly don't have parents...I simply existed and they have vague memories of my "capture" that I niether comfirm nor deny at this point. And believe me those circumstances are really vague and murky. It's a common theme in many pantheons where the new god first had to prove themselves in the land of the Mortals, ultimately demonstrating their ability and at the same time performing quests for one god or another, (the cleverest ones keep you from ever knowing you helped them) You know this also happened in Oblivion... I simply appeared in a Dungeon cell that should never have prisoners in it...same thing in Morrowind. In Daggerfall you're a true mortal, but obviously empowered. I think half the time all that talk about claiming your soul is just to keep you from working for others like them (they don't want their rival's agenda to move forward). It may work for mortals but you're clearly not one. I know someone out there is thinking, "it's just lazy devs who don't know what continuity is, you're putting too much thought into it". But I would rather give them more credit then too little. Edited December 4, 2011 by stillinferno
AndrewWaltfeld
I would think it was more of a wrong place - wrong time. On the carriage it seems to imply that you were the at the ambush that took place at Ulric storm-cloak, so most likely, imperial soldiers just tackled you to the ground and knocked you out. Later you wake up. Sure you don't' "remember" anything but the game isn't required to give you that memory. Your storyline is that you were trying to get back into skyrim by illegally crossing the border. You happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. However did the divine or talo's put you there? who knows. He could have motivated you into there. They spoke of origins since you were never asked really. I Think the main imperial province came up once, so perhaps your from that area. I find it funny tho about becoming all the champions of these lords. It's much like becoming the thane of all 9 holds and your like... wow, just wow. How am I suppose to be the thane of all 9 holds? o_O Edited December 4, 2011 by AndrewWaltfeld
Selvec
Sithis will hire a Lawyer and Nocturnal will defend herself (being the Deadric Prince(cess?) of thiving, deals etc). Sheogorath will over hear each persons side of the argument in a custody battle for your soul. He'll then give it to his dog Barbas as a chew toy. Nekrafilia
This is just a pointless lore discussion to a question i've been thinking about. So as a member of the dark brotherhood apparently when "I" die my soul will belong to the "Dread Father". However as a nightingale my sould belongs to nocturnal. Does the Dread father and Nocturnal have a fight over my soul? Anyway what do you guys think? I've now sold my soul to half a dozen entities. Gunna be interesting to see the fight that ensues between them to possess it
HoovesDerpy
@stillinferno I think I love you now. I have the sudden urge to learn how to mod in order to make this so. Just think about it, after your quests are over, you have become the most known Nord in all of Tamriel and beyond, you are feared for your power and respected for your wisdom. You climb once again The Throat of The World, and go beyond the tear in time and to the resting place of the fabled Notched Pickaxe at the very peak of the mountain where you stay resting only to be greeted by Akatosh himself as he welcomes you as the next god. You then play your role as the god of mortals, the place once held by Talos who has moved on the ranks of the gods. As you work your power and do your godly deeds you gain in power. You are able to walk among the denizens of Tamriel as a god among men, doing as you please and having followers listen to every breath you breathe so you chose to breathe it. With the twitch of an eye lid you can level an entire city, with the wave of a hand you can return a child from the brink of death. As you work your power in the land of the living, the gods would grow jealous of your flaunting, and they would challenge you in the old way to battle, where you would then overpower them and defeat them, taking their power and their positions as gods. Eventually you would grow so powerful that Akatosh himself would rather raise his sword to you instead of facing you in battle, but will you simply take that? I think not. You slay the god of gods and you become the most powerful being to ever exist. However, in your arogance, blinded by your raw power, you rip the Elder Scrolls from the stream of time and you read them, not accepting that even the gods should not read what was before them. Do you survive? Do you die? Well, that depends on you, now doesn't it? What in Akatosh's name did I just write...

HoovesDerpy
When would it be made? Oh god, I have no idea. I remember I tried to mod back in Morrowind, and it was very difficult for me to grasp the concepts. Just think about it though, I would be making not only the Gods and a story line arch that would affect the entire mortal world, I would have to craft an entire other realm for the gods. I don't think they laze around all day in a single room. The must have some physical plane that they enjoy themselves upon, and I would have to make that, which in itself would take a month at least. Hell, all of the story scripting would take a few months, because I wouldn't release something half done, or something I think can be better. I wouldn't release it until I'd tested it a million times and played it a million different ways myself. Good god this would be quite the project. I'd need help no doubt, because as I said I would grant the player the ability to level towns, and were I to do this I would actually give them that power. This mod would be seriously powerful. I mean, I would be initiating an entire godly civil war so to speak. Those with you, or those against you. Hell, maybe I would even make one of the defining quests one that deals with the Daedra. I don't know. I'd have to write up some kind of table of contents for my brainstorm bubble were I to write up all of the ideas I would want to implement. Lol don't let my fiance hear that...she'll get jealous =P And that kind of mod would be awesome, Akatosh needs to be challenged every so often, if only to demonstrate his power over others. It would be like Scion...Skyrim edition.
