Saves will not load

My latest quick save, auto save and last three hard saves will not load. I have verified file integrity X2 and also have defragged the file cache.

 

I was just about to enter the Arena in AWoP when the game crashed.

 

Help please.

have you added or deactivated any new mods, changed your load order, or changed any game settings recently?

Also, do ANY saves load?

First never use the ingame auto saves; as they tend to be buggy and ive heard many of the corrupt saves happen from it. Instead use a very nifty auto save mod called CASM. You can search for it in the nexus and it'll show up right away. And usually the reason why saves dont load up anymore is because you saved with a mod that you once used and all of the sudden deleted it. The game tries to load then it realizes some of the files are missing, in thus ctd corrupt save. You can try restore the mod that you removed then try loading up the save again, if it works this time just uncheck the mod not remove the entire mod then save. This way the game recognizes that the mod is disabled in thus requirement of the mods files are no longer necessary. Either this or you half uninstalled a mod, that is why installing mods with FOMM is highly recommended as when you need to uninstall, your only one click away from a full clean uninstall of the mod. Rather than to hassle through all your folders trying to figure out which files are no longer needed.

I did a search on this issue, since I assumed this problem must have arisen before. The advice given then was to find a save that did load (for me that meant going back past the last five previous saves) then once that save was loaded, to then load the newer save.

 

I tried that and it worked.

Went about seven deep into the saves, but I found one that loaded.

Will have to look into that CASM program. Thanks for the info. I agree that all mods should be added with FOMM.
