blackbart
So I have reached a point where I have a large number of mods, so that it seems like I am always overwriting one mod with another etc... Either way, I have decided to go in and delete ALL of my texture and sound mods, so I can back and reinstall them in a more organized manner. So the question is, are there any files in the data/texture or the data/sounds folders that are NOT mods? Thanks,BB
FireBug3
Yes, it would be better for oyu if you re install the game.
Tair
You can't install those mods in a "more organized manner." The file structure is what it is. Edited December 3, 2011 by Tair
wesside0yes
Yes, it would be better for oyu if you re install the game. Something tells me that is not very tolerating and loving. But yeah, you can't organize them more then they already are, you could shift out the unwanted modifications though and use only those that you feel comfortable with. Basically you can erase the meshes, sounds and texture folders since al original files are storaged as .bsa in the data folder.
Sunnie
Actually, deleting the entire texture folder, and the entire meshes folder will return Skyrim back to vanilla. The vanilla game does NOT put anything there or even create the folders.
blackbart
Thanks for the input, as for reorganizing, What I intend to reorganize is ME. I started using NMM about half way through the mods I have already installed, but found I was always doing overwrites. I also found that if I uninstall things in the wrong order it crashes NMM. So, I wanted to basically give it a fresh start. Thanks folks!BB
