A Deep Khajiit NPC.

I'm thinking about making a unique Khajiit NPC that feels more like a real person.

J'tanno

A young Khajiit born in northern Elsweyr in the city of Rimmen who is now living in Skyrim. He loves the cold climate and hates skooma. He likes to hunt, collect, paint. He has no racial bias, but dislikes the Thalmor.

*Lots of dialogue to explore.

*Completely voiced.

*Has a set of chores he completes every day.

*Has interests and dislikes.

*Has a weekly schedule. (Goes out hunting on Fridays, etc.)

*Will recognize your race and gender.

*Become close friends.

*Tell him jokes.

*Be invited into his home for a traditional Khajiit meal.

*Discover his personal history.

*Learn more about Elsweyr.

*Get him to join you as a companion.

*Will comment on things you do in-game.

*Marry him if you want.

I'll have to see how flexible the Creation Kit is to see if most of this is possible.

Sounds neat  Will he have much in the way of character development (Background, ideals, personality, etc)? It's a lot of work, but I think it'd be worth it  Look at the Companion Vilja mod from Oblivion for example. Best companion ever! ... So far

Yes, he will have all of that. I want him to feel as real as possible within engine limitations.

I was thinking about something like this but with an argonian, a better NPC that has more than a few lines of dialogue and really feels like a friend/companion. We have to wait until the creation kit hits though.

Really though, I just want a companion that says more than "By the twin moons!" every time there's a cool thing in a ruin.

The more NPCs with life, the better.

Companion environmental reactions might need scripting. Everyone will have to learn the new scripting language.

I am using Chat Mapper to write dialogue, because it's very easy to get lost with the amount of dialogue I'm planning.
