Logitech F710 "B" Button No Longer Working

Any ideas on what would cause my Logitech F710 Controller to not work anymore post 1.2 patch (no, not a trick question). I suspect it is the patch, but it could be coincidence too.

 

Background:

 

Worked for 11 hours playing up to November 12.

Went on vacation for 2 weeks.

Got home and turned on game.

Controller "B" button - or rather tthe "Exit" function - no longer works.

Reloaded disc; got newest software on line; went in and redid the properties; deleted the SkyrimPrefs.ini; and downloaded the 360 perameters - nothing works.

Controller works fine on other games .e.g. Oblivion. Ditto for Exit button.

B button works when reassigned as say "jump" or cast spells. It is the Exit function that is gone.

Tried pressing every button on the controller when in a conversation, looting bodies, etc. Nothing works. When I press the action / activate button when looting a body, I wind up taking everything.

Logitech Tech Support had no ideas as to cause - said the B button works fine when it is configured with another function so not their problem.

Downloaded a few other programs for programming controllers - no change.

 

Problem:

 

The B button - used for Exit from such things as lotting bodies, chests, etc and for exiting buying / selling with NPCs no longer works. I have to turn off the controller, turn on the keyboard and exit woth the keybaord (not a big keyboard fan hence controller). When the Exit function is reassigned to say X or A buttons, it still does not work. Again, everything was fine until 3 days ago when I got back and turned on the computer.

 

Any issues with the 360 wireless controllers? Maybe I should buy one or wait until post patch 1.3 to see what is _________ up after that.
