wolron
I am putting this here because it refers to a quest, but I would not call it a spoiler. I would call it a little help for those that are on a goose chase. In the Quest for the Warlock's ring, Ajira tells you it is on a small island west of Bel Fell. It is actually on a small island east of Bel Fell. That cost me quite a bit of time! There should be a forum for sharing this type of thing. (Oh, I know, you have all figured this one out already. But the poor newbies haven't!).
Malchik
Yes, the directions are often hopeless. As was pointed out in an earlier post today the Venim tomb is said to be near Tel Mora when it is on the mainland north of the Zainab camp. There have been other threads on the vagueness of the directions. But where there are definite errors in the instructions it might be worth compiling a pinned thread. So lets see what we come up with.
ohGr
that happened to me as well, most directions i get are wrong, so i do the opposite, and it has actually worked a few times, i even found the first main quest directions confusing to that dwemer ruin, arknghard or something. wesaynothin
I know one we've probably all met, Drulene Falen's hut! remember, do not , I repeat DO NOT follow the directons. Head directly west from around the middle of the Skar until you see some guars milling around. For those who may be less experienced this is the first House Redoran quest given by Neminda in Ald Ruhn.
Burnination7
Then again, Bethesda could've purposefully put wrong directions in there (like to show that the NPCs aren't as smart as we think), but who knows?
wolron
Good point Slayer. In real life, I get messed up by poor directions all the time. Why not just chalk this up to added realism!
redstreak1
In the Quest for the Warlock's ring, Ajira tells you it is on a small island west of Bel Fell. It is actually on a small island east of Bel Fell. That cost me quite a bit of time! Actually have a bit of good news there man - when I was playing this quest after installing both Bloodmoon AND a Bloodmoon-related patch Ajira now says its EAST of Bal Fell, as it's supposed to be! ;) Looks like the game designers finally took note of this problem too and made sure to correct it in the new versions! :D
Malchik
Aha a moderator perpetrates the crime of thread necromancy! Well, not IMO. For one of the most useless sets of directions talk to Molag Bal about getting cured for vampirism. He tells you the cave of Dubdilla can be found on the slopes of Mount Assarnibibi. Not even close. Look south of Vos.
