Console command scrolling issue

Thanks for the reply Khbazur! Yeah on my lap-top the number pad is the only page up and down key I have that I know of. But oddly enough, I've never considered plugging in my old desk-top keyboard... lol That is a great idea! I'll give it a shot and report back the results. Ok! So I got down my old desktop keyboard, plugged it in and POW! It works. The best I can tell is that with the laptop, the number pad and the page up functions all on the same set. I don't know if Skyrim can differentiate what key stroke the console is reading. With a regular desktop keyboard the number pad and the page up & down keys operate on separate functions. So, no translation needed from the game = no problem... Or that's my best guess lol! It is more likely my laptop sucks and I'm compensating! lol. Thank you all for your help and time. And as far as I'm concerned, Khbazur is a GOD! Thanks, I would have never tried this in a million years because I'm an idiot! lol Thanks for all your help! wtf.. let me say that we are all a bit blinded by our huge brain capacity... :D I was facing same problem on my Win7 laptop for about three months.. but what about FN+scr lk?... let say Elder Scroll Lock :D .. you have to lock it because all combinations of keys are disabled in cosole (you have to set the right combination of num lck and srcl lck before you start the game).. that's the reason why the combination with alt/shift/ctrl/shift+ctrl can't be used..

 

but your "two-handed perk in double-keyboard mode" is much more badass solution.. :D

I have the same problem. I also play on a laptop and my pg dn/pg up keys don't work, even while holding the alt key. I often use the wiki for spawn codes anyway, but I don't always have internet access.

So, after 5 years, is there at least a mod that allows to change Page Up and Page Down keys to something else? the advise to use USB keyboard is ridicolous, why should I buy it for the one game I've already paid for? If Bethesda is that dumb it's not my fault.

hey i know this is like a 6 year old post,but i just felt like doin a good deed for today,but by the sounds of it,you're using a laptop keyboard.now some people will tell you to just go out and buy a new USB keyboard...but most likely you dont have to waste your money...have you got one of those (Fn) keys most laptops use?if so,hold that key down and then press the Up or Down arrow keys.that will allow you to scroll through the console.trust me,i face-keyboarded when i finally figured it out on my own.
