Project579 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 ok lets say your steam library on Win10 is called Steam_win10 go to Win7 rename the library Steam_win10 to Steam_win10-1 create a new folder where Steam_win10-1 is and call it Steam_win10 install steam on Win7 and set Steam_win10 as default library then close steam delete Steam_win10 and rename Steam_win10-1 to Steam_win10 then re open steam click on install in Skyrim it will detect the game.
archimagekhan Posted September 13, 2016 Author Posted September 13, 2016 okayyy... I see now... (sorry once again for being a little... slow, on those subjects)... thank you!
Project579 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 And i'm not really good with explanations anyway  .
archimagekhan Posted September 13, 2016 Author Posted September 13, 2016 At least you got solutions ;-)
agostont Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Any news on whether this worked (or are you, as in Project579 speaking from actual experience)? I'm just considering doing the same thing, really annoying finding out about that VRAM limitation after I got my new GTX 1070...
Project579 Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 yes i had to do that when i installed an SSD dedicated to games and wanted to move everything from the steam library to the new SSD but still have my steam installed in Win10 and Win7 to access the same library.
agostont Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Okay then, thanks for the help, I think I'll be taking your advice. :)
archimagekhan Posted September 23, 2016 Author Posted September 23, 2016 And for me, I'm installing my new SSD, graphic card and dual boot this week end... so I'll see in a few days...
