monkey butt
I have recently downloaded a mesh of a double barrel/low cut shotgun. the file was downloaded as a 3dstudio max file. i changed it to an nif file so that construction set would open it. when i went into construction set to open it my construction set said "model load error: not an NIF file in meshes folder/shotgun.NIF will use the default object marker_error.NIF." and a giant diamand shaped object with a ! in the middle comes on the screen instead of my shotgun. i want help to get my shotgun mesh usable for construction set so i can make a mod for oblivion. the first five people that help me will get some credit for this mod, for without your help there would be no mod. thanks very much that is about all the info i can supplie. an easier way to help me would to download a file there (there are some free files) and to record what you do to make it work. thank you

monkey butt
is there another way, a proper way to changing the format of a mesh or file. that is the only way i am famillour with. please help me
Xeniorn
Uh... changing the name doesn't change the format. File's extension is just a part of the filename and has nothing to do with the file's format. There are tools that you can use to do that, you can google it or ask someone who's already done it.
