So after insane frustration started with some tenpenny tower madness..i uninstalled and reinstalled.

i loaded fallout goty Disc 1, no DLC, no mods. ctd on startup.

i installed 1l.7 patch...ctd on startup..again no mods, no fomm, no nothing.

i bouth the game around 2 months ago and played beautiful on the highest level video until installing those couple tenpenny mods then i couldnt save, i couldnt do jack...

i removed the game, its registry keys, all files in the data folder leftover after the uninstall. i re-downloaded all 100 mods i had before*(they all were stable), made a folder ready to drop them all in the data folder.

wth is going on here?

my system specs.

Check what Resolution your trying to start the game at. Depending on your monitor and how you have it connected it may be set wrong which will cause FO3 to crash on launch. For example, mine needs to be set to 1920x1080 16:9 Widescreen. When FO3 first installs and initially detects my settings it always comes up with some other Resolution and the game CTD on launch until I correct it.

im running a 24" widescreen monitor at 1680x1050, fallout wants 1200x800 even at that it crashes.

edit, i just tried every resolution the loader allows, they all ctd.

also i should add, i do not have FFDshow installed, nor any extra codecs, i had Klite but uninstalled it as well.

aslo, im running .net framework 4.0 is there a version that works better with fallout ?
