bmonkey2011 Posted September 14, 2016 Share Posted September 14, 2016 I've been wanting to add a cloning aspect to my game, closely resembling movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978). Why I need this in my game? I'm not sure... I just chalk it up to my general weirdness. Been looking for a mod that clones settlers, found one called Workshop Synth Production. It works right the first time it's correctly used then "bugs out." Which is a shame. Specifically--a mod that has a modified Silk Bean plant that glows green... --when placed near a sleeping settler --clones them (either on the floor preferably, or a nearby empty bed). *It'd be awesome if there were some kind of giant pod thing to transition between; maybe a gross bug organ or something like that from the game could be animated briefly? --the clone would look/work like regular settlers--but have a synth-like personality --have optional setting of cloned settlers making the other settlers hostile--optional hostile clones as well--optional multiple clones--optional setting that kills the settler being cloned --and have this mod not conflict with Better Settlers and Don't Call Me Settler. --It'd be fun to have a backstory quest where the pods are discovered by some scientist then things went awry... (as seen rather often across the wasteland) and we get to grow our own cloning plants using a silk bean and some green glowing serum. Or we just find the plant somehow. I know how hard Fo4 mods are to make, just made a couple with the Creation Kit and am horrified at the amount of work for one framed picture... It's been frustrating. Anyone think they could do it, or have any tips to get me on the right path to making part of this happen? Simple cloning would be good enough, but this pod people idea just sounds more fun.
