Diamond City guards not wearing clothes

I had this as well, but I moved Armorsmith Extended and subsequent files to bottom of load order, and it fixed it. Also, if you use Scrap Everything and FQ_NoMoreLODFlicker put them underneath the Armorsmith Extended files.

Edit: Essentially like this (your files may be different)

125 7d Armorsmith Extended.esp

126 7e keywordsAE.esp

127 7f Armorsmith All DLCs Patch.esp

128 80 Toxic Raider Armour.esp

129 81 Raider Overhaul - AE Patch-11.esp

130 82 Raider Overhaul - AE Patch.esp

131 83 ROHToxicEdition.esp

132 84 Scrap Everything - Ultimate Edition.esp

133 85 FQ_NoMoreLODFlicker_AIO.esp

Thank you! I know that this is an OLD POST ... but it answered my challenge w/out having to go through the traditional "hunt and peck" ... Thank you very much!

Okay, this is frustrating. The DC-Guards are now back to being only in their underwear. :(

I tried moving the load level to NO avail.

Any other ideas, that I might look at. I can provide a list my mods if that will help?

Just a shot in the dark for you, but check for clothing mods that add some type of all-in-one version of themselves vs separate pieces. I haven't looked to closely into these mods in Fallout 4 but I know in Skyrim modding it was a thing that sometimes caused naked or mostly naked NPCs. Mods added AIO pieces with slots like circlets or hair pieces and the like as part of robes and they were being equipped by NPCs as they were an option in the leveled lists that their default outfits used.

So they'd equip a helmet or circlet piece that was visually only a head or hair type of piece but the slots were set up to use some of the body slots - so no armor on the body or arms/legs would show up = naked NPCs. Not sure if that's a thing with F4 modding but it's something to check perhaps.

I'm facing the same issue right now as well. Still trying to figure it out.

I kind of sort of found a temporary band-aid solution. Previously I had to move "Armorsmith Extended" and all dependent files to the bottom of the load order.

Since then I have gone with LOOT's order and created a merge patch, and while certain items are not initially worn ie: "Athletic Oufit", and the "Patched Three-piece Suit", when going into the NPC's container with console and "openactorcontainer 1", then equipping said item, it always appears equipped afterwards.

I'll just have to use this method until a more effective and long term solution is found.

Edit: The only draw back with a merge patch is now, high level Gunners, and half of the BOS have a PTRS-41...kinda annoying to say the least. Imma have to edit the files again and remove it from their lists...though I do want a few of the BOS to still retain one. Not sure how to accomplish that.

Edit 2: This also ONLY works on guards and some random NPC's (unless they are killed). There will still be new spawns who don't have apparel equipped. Though generally in my instance it's with the Patched three-piece suit on Gunners. Normally the Athletic Outfit on anyone other than guards isn't affected.

Issue confirmed here as well: 1st time to Diamond City at all, some guards wear only their undies plus chest armor, some baseball gear plus chest armor.

I have moved Armorsmith Extended pretty far to the bottom of my load order (together with its DLC esp), but to no avail. A merged patch also didn't do the trick.

Otherwise F4 runs fine, in spite of a huge # of mods without any ctds or mod irregularities.

I get this issue too; about 40% or so of dc guards don't have an outfit worn(but have umpire armor plates). I HAVE noticed that armorsmith adds some 10mm pistols as wearable "armor" to some of the guards (most if not all, i think) and it uses one of the same equip slots as the "athletic outfit", so when the game equips stuff, it equips the athletic outfit, then the 10mm holstered weapon, which then unequips the athletic outfit.

Using the creation kit to edit out the non-main slots of the athletic outfit is a quick, simple solution, at least to my particular issue. This makes the holstered pistol compatible with their clothes.

Check to see if the 10mm you see in the list of his things is a piece of armor instead of a gun: the spinning 3d model will be a straw bag of something instead of a pistol.
