Rukus723
The open borders and beyond the borders mods serve as an interesting proof of concept, but are a little bit literal when it comes to expanding upon the borders. Meaning that it singles the areas out rather than using them as a package with the vanilla area. These border areas could be used to expand the current player area, and add quite a few new locations within the default play area. To the east you have the prospects for several Caesars Legion towns. Including;Golden ValleyA town almost as large as Kingman. Named for the rare spontaneous growth of Golden poppies that would cover the valley floor. Could be used as a way to show the artistic side of the Legion, perhaps a large statue of Caesar.Dolan SpringsAnother small settlement roughly twice the size of goodspringsKingmanThe Largest of the listed towns. About twice the size of Boulder City. White HillsAn old Silver-Mining town about the size of goodsprings.Hualapai MountainsA medium sized mountain range To the south you have several towns lining the Colorado River, and possibly a revisit to California. These towns include;Laughlin, NVA small gambling town founded in the 60s by a club owner from Vegas (larger than primm but smaller than Vegas). Before that it was called South PointeBullhead City, AZBuilt upon the site of an old western town called Hardyville, Bullhead is placed directly across from laughlin, connected by a bridge across the Colorado River and the Davis DamFort Mohave, AZA town thinly spread along stretches of farmland and desert.Mohave Valley, AZSimilar to Fort Mohave, but even more farmland.and beyond those to the southwest. Needles, CAFeatures include a train station and a bridge connecting it to Mohave ValleyGoose Lake, AZA small lake and wildlife preserve opposite Needles. To the West lies very little besides Pahrump, NV. So I think the west could be used to expand Mt. Charleston into a true mountain range. Complete with remnants of the Skii resort. This trail would be lush with trees and wildlife. Perhaps even the dreaded two headed bear. The end of the trail would lead to Pahrump, who has been having trouble with Super Mutants migrating out of the NCR to Mt Charleston. Finally to the North, we have a few small towns. Beatty, NVMesquite, NVSomewhat of a halfway point between Vegas and Zion. Indian Springs, NV I'm no expert on GECK, but I'd be glad to do quest writing and basic mapping if anyone wanted to pursue my idea.
