Followers won't attack

Hello, i have this bug since few times and i tried many things to get ride of it but it doesn't work...

 

I Switched from IAFT to AFT and then to no followers mod at all(of course i have properly uninstalled both AFT with reset and clean save) and still my followers almost NEVER engage fight untill they get hited themself...

Majority of the time and specialy outdoor my followers will just watch me fight with their weapon draw, following me close but doing nothing.

And sometimes with no reason they will properly engage hostile when i changed nothing to my mod list etc -_-

 

Its really anoying since i play my game with many increase spawn mods, i can't and don't want to fight alone...

I found what cause their bugginess, when i enter their inventory, or remove an item or even trade something to them they will start being bugged.

 

I tried with 5 different followers, without AFT and on a clean save, if i don't trade them anything, if i just ask them to follow and start a fight then they will normaly engage enemies with me.

If i reload the exact same save right before the fight and if i give then a new sword or just open their inventory, they will be bugged and do nothing during combat... its crazy.

 

Im almost certain its because i used the AFT outfit management and "forced" some outfit and weapon. Ting is now AFT is reseted, save is clean and i have still this issue if i mess with follower inventory.

 

I tried in the console resetAI, removeallitems, resetinventory if i do one of those command the follower will be bugged.

So im stuck, atm i can't manage my followers or they will just ignore enemies, im not enjoying at Lv30 followers wearing hide and hunting bows....

Thank god I found your post. I have the exact same problem on SSE. I never even installed iAFT. Have you found a better solution by any chance?

Going to Mannimarco-level necrobump this, but I've been fighting this for weeks and finally fixed it. My follower suddenly bugged out and wouldn't ever attack enemies unless attacked first. On top of that, if I attacked the enemy back, she would become hostile to me as well and just murder me. It turns out that hours earlier I'd commanded her to steal a single iron dagger on accident and it gave her a bounty of 1 single gold. That was enough to bug out her factions, I guess. I fixed it by using the console command "paycrimegold 0 0" on her to pay the 1 gold bounty and now she's fixed! I hope this helps somebody :)

i controle my follower whis aft and after said him to leave in aft then use romantic mod and he follow me. By using this mod a can take with me 2 followers and they start attack all enemies

resetinventory in the console fixed this issue for me. Of course, you may want to empty out your follower first. But yeah, that console command solved the problem.

Hi anyone looking at this hoping to find an easy in game solution I found when I had this problem. My followers under AFT were defaulting to *None* in their combat settings. Talk to them and tweak their settings to see if that's the case. Just set it to general and they'll start attacking again. Or if you want. You can manually set each follower to a specific role in combat, to stop your melee tank from ditching his shield for a bow ;-;
