CampanaAliquanta
You need to explain what your idea is - not necessarily the whole brief, just enough to interest people. Concept art helps.
Matth85
The more info, and the more you got planned, the bigger the chance is a modder will be interested. A one-liner like "I want a new land!" or "I the whole tamriel!" is not worth anything. If you can show dedication, and really get your idea to be a head over the others, you might get people interested. As I've said on another topic: We modders got more ideas than you non-modders. We, however, know how long it takes. We do not need ideas, we need somebody to step up, show us a part of a product and make it seem that this project is going to be worth a few months of work. And by that I mean you show your dedication, you show you are not abandoning the project after a month. Trust me, I've had a few projects run dry because the guy holding it together decided 1 week wait time per reply was nice. I simplly do not got time to wait for a reply to be answered, I demand it to be answered within 24 houres, 5 days a week at least. Anything less, and my time is wasted. TL;DR: Show your dedication, show this is worth more than an idea that everybody got, really get your idea sold to us, the modders.Cheers,Matth
waiting4skyrim
Ok. So The idea is a katana like sword that is made with dragon materials, that absorbs dragon souls. http://i.imgur.com/gLciC.jpg
CampanaAliquanta
I don't know if you can make swords out of dragon materials already (I haven't played very far yet, and no spoilers please) but I do like the sound of a katana. However, what's the benefit of a sword that can absorb dragon souls? The player can already do this so that sounds like the sword's purpose becomes redundant... waiting4skyrim
Ok so the way to acquire the sword is by quest. To start the quest you must be a master in blacksmithing. A non-vanilla npc will send you a letter telling you to meet him at the sky forge, he will then tell you about a legendary sword that was lost by the last dragonborn dragon slayer who now resides in Sovngarde. You return there and find him in the main hall. You ask the guy about the sword and he tells you that he lost it in a dragon's cave and how he lost it , and places a maker on your map you go to the cave to find that it is inhabited by necromancers trying to raise the dragon back to life, after they have given there lives you must kill the dragon. After you have killed it you search the contents of it body and only find the dragon symboled center piece not the whole sword. You go back to Sovngarde and show the dragon slayer what you found. he tells you what you need to rebuild it and its abilities (listed below) and that it can only be rebuilt at the sky forge. Items needed to rebuild:2 Dragon bones2 empty Grand soul gems leather strips1 Quick Silver ingot1 ebony ingot Abilities and StatsCan absorb up to 3 dragon soulsEach soul adds 5, 10, and 15 Damage to base damage, 25%, 50%, and 75% extra damage to Dragons, and 5, 10, and 15 Flame damage Base Stats: 30 Damage; Weight: 15; Value: 28000
