Skyrim - Mod Detectives Thread

So I'm trying to create fresh build for Skyrim, and one of the first things I want to address is the terrible level scaling of Vanilla Skyrim. Ideally I want a fairly static world where things are as tough as they sensibly should be, and don't scale with me. If I take on a bear at level one, it should decimate me, and at level 80, it should be the same bear that I can wipe out easily. Same with loot and vendors. Most things should be available from the start, but higher tier materials are rare and expensive, meaning you have to work for them.

Things should be logically located as well, so dwarven ruins having a higher concentration dwemer gear, orcs specialising in more orcish stuff than nordic steel, etc. I've trawled the Nexus, and I can't seem to find anything that hits the nail on the head. Skyrim Scaling Stopper was great, but lacks Dragonborn support (plus has a few rarity kinks to work out), and many others start touching the crafting recipes, or followers, or weapons damages, or enemy AI, etc, etc.

Is there simple, logical descaling mod out there that can then be built upon by player preference? Or should I seriously consider trying to do this myself?

Thank you for any help.

I'm not sure if it fits with exactly what you're looking for, and I've not tried it, but Requiem removes level scaling and leveled loot, and I think overhauls skill perks to make you need them to have a realistic hope of having any success in the corresponding skill (more diversity, but more perks per level).

People also use it in combination with other mods such as Realistic Needs and Diseases etc.

Thanks for the reply. I have looked into Requiem, and while it looks like a very good mod, it changes way too much for my personal preference. Many of it's ideas I agree with, but just as many I'd want to change as well. I'm basically after a mod that purely changes only loot/enemy scaling, and has support for all DLC's. So far Skyrim Unleashed seems to do it best, but it's modular approach is being pulled for version 2, making it useless to me as again, there's things that I want to do a different way.

It really is starting to look like I'll need to make my own Overhaul mod, except mine would be modular to allow players to pick and choose.

AHHHH, this is driving me nuts!
Can anyone hunt this down? There seems to be 3 existing mods I know of that include Soul Calibur weapons... but there is only one that includes Tira's giant ring blade. It is this one in the video here: http://youtu.be/4eUfwGYGCjY?t=1m51s

Unfortunately, the Mediafire link he provides doesn't include the ring blade at all in the meshes. It seems like there are some new things, I think, so I think he either put a wrong link, or updated the link and maybe lost/forgot the ring blade in the process. I dunno. Anybody know where I can find this mod??

(I'd prefer her regular ring blade as opposed to the Soul Edge version, but if no one can make it, I have the Soul Calibur 4 files to *try* to do it myself though I'm a beginner... if I could use this as a reference, esp. since I'm impressed how this guy made it so it wraps around the character decently)

Edit:
I'm close to doing it on my own!! I cannot figure out how to do what he did in positioning it though (I don't know how to move/rotate it). I may have scaled it wrong too. And it's also texturally dark... dunno why that is right now.

Is there any mod that drastically overhauls the AI of friendly NPCs? Not something like interesting NPCs that diversifies them, but something that changes their behaviour.

Examples that I find so frustrating:

When one NPC is giving a speech, or talking to a group of NPCs and everyone constantly is looking at you. The same is true if you stand around in an inn, everyone stares at you.

When talking to an NPC and not being able to hear what they say because every other NPC that comes remotely near to you has something to say, and often says it two or three times.

I killed a dragon outside the College of Winterhold, when I went there for some training, and for the next 8 hours everyone stood there, staring at it saying things like "oh my, is it dead?" or "I can't believe it's real" etc etc, and it's really frustrating.

I just want a mod or a collection of mods that stops NPCs from being really stupid, unrealistic and annoying, I don't want to be at the centre of everyone's world, I want them to get on with their dynamic or complex routines.

I didn't realise there was a thread like this! Sorry, I've already made another thread asking my question but I'll still post it here.

Basically, I don't like to have immortal followers. I want to make Serana killable, if possible. I tried to find a mod like this but couldn't find anything, anybody knows if such a mod exists ?

I also opened the console and made her unessential but it didn't work.

I'd also like to know if there's a mod that adds rain/storms 24/7.

Thank you!

Looking for the mod in skyrim that adds 6 small chests, 2 wide by 3 high to the right of the Whiterun Main gate, and inside each was added armour that can be equipped along with the main pieces of armour that you can craft, the chests contained waist belts, legplates, pauldrons, curiass and arm bands.

Here the original : http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13004/? Remodeled Armor CBBEv3M by MAK

And the updated : Armor for CBBE Bodyslide and BBP by ChronoTrigger77
