Noob has some questions about story modding

Hi folks. I am new and I wanted to ask if it is possible to make a mod that's a whole new story for the game. Not just some npc which act different.

Step by step I want to make a whole new storyline with characters, monsters and dragons. I have read and am reading a book which is great. I thought of making an unreal engine game about it. Than thought about skyrim and its modding capabilities.

If it's possible, are there some tutorials about how to mod the game in a way that I need? With npc, locations, lairs, houses, castles, quests and so on.

Like a complete new game inside of skyrim.

I hope this is possible and some of you can help. I want this so bad ;)

well, you should really search Enderal, which is a whole new game done with Skyrim's engine

you should note that it took several years to develop, and it took a rather large team of really experienced and awesome modders to make

so it is very much possible, though i'm really not sure that you'll find tutorials on how to do it, though it shouldn't really be that difficult to replace the story

you can stop specific quests from happening, and there are several mods which allow you to start the game through a different scenario (alternate start mods)

i know of a mod that stops the whole 'dragonborn' scenario from happening (so no dragons, no dragon shouts, and basically no main quest, as far as i know)

so again, it is possible, and you should probably search the web for modding tutorials, as there are probably a lot of them, with varying quality and for varying technical groups (from new modders to experienced one)

do your own research online, try to find answers, and if you want to know if something specific is possible or not, and can't find an answer, feel free to ask here

both more often then not, you can do whatever you have on your mind, if you have enough time and experience

hope this answers your questions
