therebeunicorns
Alright, so I'm sorry if this is my only topic and I seem like a spammer, but I'm not. I'm a player who has been playing for awhile and enjoying a lot of different mods. But, suddenly, FNV has failed me with crashes and weirdo glitches.I'm not sure what to do and really want to play my game again, so please help. Here's the gist of it. The ProblemRecently, I uninstalled and re-installed FNV. I am currently re-installing it from scratch to see if it makes a difference.* Body mods do not work. My character will have deformed bewbs and a weird scratchy underwear on when I start the game, even after I make sure I followed the body mod's install instructions. I have Archive Invalidation activated and this still happens, but I will re-install this when I re-install FNV just to make sure.* The game crashes when I leave Doc's house.* The game crashes when I try to fast travel on a saved game.* The game crashes when I try to leave anywhere. A few mods seem to work, but the rest make it crash even if I installed them properly. I use FOMM, and the strange thing is that these mods worked perfectly fine before I uninstalled FNV. The game was fast and rarely crashed. But now that I've re-installed, things have gone haywire and I'm really frustrated. Does anyone know what I could do? rgx02
Are you sure they are in the correct loading order?
Lius
First of all, how many mods are you running? If a lot, try lessening up your load order. Fallout has a tendency to make your game go haywire if you try to load too many mods. The number of mods differ for every system so there really isnt a specific set number. But usually a good rule of thumb is around 75-80 id say. 80-100 your reaching the danger zone, then 100+ your in the danger zone. Some people can run 150 mods no problem while others ive heard only about 60. So really its up to you to find your sweet spot. Second, when you reinstall do you use CCleaner or any other registry cleaning tool? When you uninstall fallout, make sure you do a full clean uninstall then reinstall after youve made sure there are no leftover files. Check your default installation path and delete everything that has to do with fallout, then go to your documents>my games>FNV and delete that too (make sure you back it up so you can have all your saves if needed). Use CCleaner, clean any leftover registry files. Then go into Regedit and open up the tabs to delete any FNV files CCleaner might have missed. Lastly do steps 1-4 for last minute check up to make sure you deleted everything. Now restart your computer then reinstall. That is my procedure and it never failed me. But from my conclusion, the problems your having seem to do with the number of mods your trying to run and mod conflict. I can tell you all about FNVedit and how you can maunally resolve conflicts but thats going to make this into a essay instead of a helpful response. Ill wait until i hear back from you.
