IberianVaelico
I've been wanting to change how they look for some time now. I've been messing around FO4Edit, but I don't have a lot of time on my hands to invest in learning a lot about it, and after searching for some specific answears online I found none.So I'd just like to know where do I go and what do I have to edit, in order to customize their inventory. I don't like most of the already existing Minutemen mods, since they all just either make them look like professional soldiers(which they aren't) or even more cringy versions of what they already are(some sort of 18th century dress-ups).When I think of the Minutemen, I allways remember the 2003 game "Freedom Fighters". A bunch of rebels with paramilitary clothes, with serious guns(not pipe guns\pipe muskets) who where fighting for freedom. And that's how I idealize the Minutemen. Using guns like : Combat Rifle, Lever Rifle, Handmade(Raider) Rifle, Submachine gun, that sort of stuff, which isn't very high tech but gets the job done. Perhaps a few of them could be seen using laser rifles that could have been looted somewhere or from fallen BoS. In terms of clothing, varied types of clothing, some from already existing mods which I like a lot, others from Vanilla. Some combined with a baseball hat, knit cap, or a helmet like dirty army helmet or combat helmet. Some with their faces covered by a scarf, some even with the american scarf. Those that wore simple outfits that permited armor could have either light leather chest or light combat armor. Others would have jackets(from the "Jackets and Coats of the Commonwealth") on top. Many(if not all) with a backpack(from "Wearable Backpacks and Pouches"). I can really see that looking nice on them, and making them look like a serious guerrila\rebel\paramilitary force, that they are supposed to be. Instead of just a bunch of guys who just want to look fancy while carrying junk weapons.
xgamer468
Open up fo4edit, navigate to outfits in the fallout.esm, look for everything minutemen related you want to have, select it, right click>copy as overwrite into, select your esp or create a new one. Now open the entries in your esp file and add all of the armors you want to.
IberianVaelico
Thanks a lot :) So far so good I think. But one thing I'm still missing(I think it's just one) is how to add eyewear, bandanas and backpacks to them. Where am I supposed to add them? I've added helmets and hats to the Minutemenhat file, but I don't know if these are supposed to be added there too, since they are different slots, and I haven't found any line in FO4Edit that mentions them. Perhaps because original vanilla minutemen don't appear with them. Any tips?

I've checked all the Minutemen mods out there, and tried a couple of them. At the moment, I'm using "Minutemen Expanded Gear", but it still doesn't match my preferences. I simply hate their style. I love what they represent, and that's why I like the faction so much, but I simply can't tolerate their weapons and gear. MEG changes them to something a little better, but they still retain their colonial\hobbo look, and I don't like seeing them with all the mismatching armor, specially the metal one, 'cause it looks too much raider. So yeah, I really need to work on this version for myself  Edited September 17, 2016 by Sakabato
