salawow
Hello ! I'm aware that the lack of construction set limits the possibilities of modding by a large value, but i've heard there are a lot of things that can be modified in the .ini files.. so i'm asking, is this possible right now, or do we have to wait for the construction set ? The thing would be pretty simple, reducing or disabling the knockback effects when you do a killing blow with a bow.. because it just seems pretty unrealistic that a bandit got knocked back 15 yards (sometimes even more !) when killed by an arrow. So, possible with a .ini tweaking, or not possible at all right now ? Edit: Don't want to load the forum with another topic, so i'll ask my other question here. Would it be possible (right now, without the construction set), to mess with the leveling system ? (something such as lockpicking/speech/pickpockets doesn't increase your global character level) Edited December 4, 2011 by salawow
mindinavoid
I recall seeing the former (reduced knockback on kills) somewhere around the Nexus, although I can't for the life of me find it through searching. However, the second one is already very much possible, should you take the time to search for it. There are several, but that one is the one I'm using, and I'm quite fond of it. There is another, I believe, that makes crafting and the like not contribute to global leveling. I may be wrong.
