XxRoronoaZoroxX
so I've been wanting to make a basic armor in Nifskope and I was going to use the Ranger Vest outfit as a base. I go into Niskope and go to meshes/armor/NCR civilian which is where the three ranger outfits are supposed to be. Inside there are three files NCR Civ 1,2 and 3 and they are all female for some reason the male model isn't here though according to the GECK it should be in the same folder, anyone have any ideas where the male model is? this is really beginning to drive me nuts lol
uhmattbravo
In the fallout-meshes.bsa. It's likely you use a female armor replacer & that's why you have them in loose files and not male versions.
XxRoronoaZoroxX
i do indeed have a replacer that i had forgotten about and i never made a backup of the original files am i screwed on getting the male model?
uhmattbravo
No. You just need to extract them from the .bsa file. I use FOMM for basically just that, but there's probably other more practical .bsa utilities if you don't use FOMM as an actual mod manager. Don't worry about the female versions. I just meant to say that the reason you can see them is because they're likely not the originals, but loose files from a replacer that override the originals that are safely stored in the .bsa with the male versions. XxRoronoaZoroxX
ok that's good i was worried, now i have a new problem. I can't find the .bsa file, it's supposed to be in the data folder correct? this is all super new to me so i appreciate the help
uhmattbravo
Yes, it's in the data folder. You want a large file named "Fallout - Meshes". You'll need some sort of bsa utility to open it and view (/extract) the contents. Like I said, I use FOMM's bsa utility for it because I used it as a mod manager before I found MO so i already had it installed, but it's very likely you can find a program that just handles .bsa's without being tied into a (now pretty much outdated (sorry people who made it)) mod manager.
