llloyd
Well I can't get FOMM to work. Something about an invalid field in some xml file then it exits to desktop. And that is on a fresh install. Edit : If I ever install TTW again I'll have to get FOMM running. The installer gives you the modded FO 3 files and TTW files and FOMM is the only one that can pack them into a Fomod and handle installing a Fomod that big. RoyBatterian
The invalid XML field is caused by NMM inserting some fields into your mod archives fomod.xml, it's another reason myself and others dislike NMM so much, as it breaks compatibility with other mod managers without telling you so. You'll have to redownload fresh copies of your mods in order to use them with FOMM, OR you can get FOMM 14.11.13 which I cannot link here as it's on a site which is forbidden on nexus. That version of FOMM bypasses this particular issue. For some, the game will also not run without adding multithreaded AI to the ini files. Find the line bUseMultithreadAI , and set it to 1. Then add the line iNumHWThreads , and set that to however many cores your processor has. dubiousintent has created a lot of troubleshooting stuff, I'm sure he will chime in here with links to it. If you need assistance with TTW, please use our forums for it.
dubiousintent
I've added Roy's suggestions to the "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. This is collection of general advice on tracking down the source of "mod conflict" problems, and collected solutions to specific issues. (I update it whenever I learn something new, like today.) Some "new to FNV" recommended reading is "FNV General Mod Use Advice", which is a collected explanation of things every player needs to know when starting out with this game. Things that are different from other games you may have played that will trip you up down the road. It contains links to the other troubleshooting articles Roy alluded to, including the "Mod Conflict" guide above. There are other great articles in the wiki that are not linked because they aren't focused on "troubleshooting". Worth checking out, though. -Dubious-
llloyd
Ugg, ok, looks like I got it. :D Though, note, leave out the mods from NMM's mod folder the first time you run it after deleting the virtual directory, if it finds mods but no virtual directory thingy it'll treat it as if it's an upgrade from 0.5x. >.< But I got it working though I am not finding a mod, the No Knocked Over Comments mod that shuts up your companion if you happen to bump into debris. Also anyone know if there is a way to unify MTUI with Primary Needs, MCM, and other mods that mod the HUD and start menu XML? Unified HUD doesn't have MTUI as an option and UIO, not sure if it's even working, it installed with out asking for configuration stuff.
dubiousintent
See the wiki article "HUD-UI-Menu issues". The "install order" is key. Install MTUI after DarnUI, and before the "set" of key UI mods discussed in that article. Can't recall if I had to create a UIO config file for MTUI (I recall creating one but not which mod it was for), but if so it's extremely easy and described on the UIO download page. UIO is pretty transparent in operation. -Dubious-
