autumnsky38
Hi everyone. I think that the marriage quest is okay but could be a lot better and so I had some ideas that I'd like to share and see if anyone might be interested in doing them. :) I would like to be able to have a different spouse for each place that I live and to have more dialog options with the spouses as well. I don't have any particular ones in mind yet, but things like, "How was your day?" and then answer options; "Missed you today" and answers; "love you" and answer options, etc. Also, maybe a little jealousy option where occasionally your spouse will notice someone speaking with you or looking at you and say something like, "Mind your manners, Nord, that's my wife you're speaking to." :) Anyway, thanks for giving all of us a forum to talk about what we'd like to have in the game---it's fun to think about all of the stuff we can do! Tracy, who likes having only ONE husband in real life, but somehow thinks that her Skyrim husbands won't mind sharing her. ;)
wyrmchild
More dialog options and generally more interaction with them would be nice.
GreyCoyote
The only trouble is that the modder would have one hell of a difficult time trying to find someone who can mimic the voices of prominent NPCs that can be married to make room for the new dialogue - That, or the entire NPC's script will have to be revoiced, in every single quest they're involved in. Rennn
The only trouble is that the modder would have one hell of a difficult time trying to find someone who can mimic the voices of prominent NPCs that can be married to make room for the new dialogue - That, or the entire NPC's script will have to be revoiced, in every single quest they're involved in. Or we could go to non-voiced. It'll probably always be easier to type text than to record convincing voices (unless we get really good computer-sim voices), and I'd prefer 10,000 lines of text dialogue to 5,000 lines of voiced dialogue, personally. Better yet, we could find a way to implement dynamic chat bots. Edited December 15, 2011 by Rennn
Deleted1123719User
Not just marriage tweaks but companion overhaul. Want something like Dragon Age Origins companions. I fell so in love with Alistair in DAO with his cute little one liners. Sigh, poor Marcurio just doesn't live up to him.
autumnsky38
Hi everyone. You know I never thought of that--that the voices would need to be recorded (unless we went with new text but no sound). I absolutely LOVE some of the male voices in this game, like Brynjolf's at the Thieves Guild. SWOON! But I imagine it would be hard to find someone to do that sort of voice, not to mention all the otherrs! Oh well.......maybe we'll see something with the text options at least someday soon. Thanks for all of your input btw! PS Jess---I haven't played Dragon Age yet but you've made me intrigued. I might have to buy it now just to find out about this Alistair guy. LOL Tracy
