Matth85
Hopefully, the Creation Kit will let us do this without having to resort to a script extender. This wouldn't require any scripting. It would require: A) New skeleton. Easy and small altering with animations.or B) Use the default one, and just fit the new model with it.orC) Use the werewolf skeleton as a base, and just merge some animations and all. It would also require a lot of armor fitting and rigging. Nothing too hard, some a little tedious. No scripts needed as far as I know.

I tried to do this myself earlier today but I cant get past the "How in the hell am I supposed to get 3D-meshes open" part. I have the know-how how to model objects, hell I do it daily as my job but I have never tried modding game files :D I have few ways how to change the leg model but like I said there are few problems this will cause and here they are: 1) feet armors need to be tweaked to fit the new legs, this wont be that hard, just time consuming, easiest way is to just remove toe part of the armor and replace it with paws. 2)when you crouch, the leg model will clip trough the leg itself and will look wonky, this can be fixed by tweaking the skeleton, again not that big deal, just time consuming. those problems aside, my biggest problems is still that i cant get those goddam files to open! Matth85
those problems aside, my biggest problems is still that i cant get those goddam files to open! Hm... You'd need a .nif plugin to open them in a 3d software. I am unsure how it is, but I believe there is a pugin for 3ds max that support it for now. And yes, most of it is time consuming. The biggest problem is the skeleton really. A lot of errors can pop up here! I wish you good luck!

I have read trough the topic what tells you how it works but I just cant make heads or tails out of it. I dont think the problem is programs because like i said I use them at work almost daily so they need to be up-to-date all the time. I just dont know how to use these plugins and other things. I can use the program and tools but the whole coding side is just one big mystery to me :D

You load up the skeleton and khajit mehes. Furthermore you edit what you want and you export using the modified Nifskope. From there, however, I am not sure what you do. But as I understand, that is not your problem.May I ask which software you use? Unless you are dead set on figuring this out yourself :) What am I saying, of course you want to. You wouldn't be modding if you didn't want to break down that wall yourself! CheersMatth

CheersMatth I use 3DsMax, and everytime I open the program, after installing the plugins I get error message saying that they dont load properly and what not. So my main problem is that I cant open the files, I cant get even NifSkope to work
Matth85
Hm... Does the plugin support your versions? You do this as a living, as you say, so I'd expect you got the newest version. The newest version rarely works with any plugin, ever. Hence I always lie a year or two behind ;) Though it's useless having me to help you. I do not dabble with modding before the CK, so I am just shooting blind here. I wish you good luck! Cheers,Matth

I am on my way to get to the top of this problem and when and IF I get things to work I will post results here.I am 100% positive that I am able to create the leg models and all the feet armors. Skeleton tweaking is another thing but I wont worry about that now. First things first!

Skeleton tweaking is another thing but I wont worry about that now. First things first! It's not too difficult working with the skeleton, if you've done some basic rigging before. It's the clipping and animation that is hard, and the armor fitting that is tedious!Nothing is too hard. Remember to avoid texture stretching! I will seriously grin my teeth if I see it ;) Cheers,Matth

I cant do jackschits if I cant even open the files :D But I will do my best to also re-texture, done that in the past so I have no problems with that
