xxxKenseIxxx
Hi, I'm pretty high level, and my bow deals a lot of damage. So when I kill something, it flies away as if i shot it with a kinetic bullet :D It seems such a waste that I can't impale anything to a wall/chair/anything. It is a pretty cool idea too i think. So if you got the skills and the time, please consider this.
tristybabe
I remember being drawn to Oblivion by a friend who lied and said this was possible. I was terribly excited, and then of course terribly let down when I couldn't.Kudos to whoever figures it out :3 (I'm an archer too. I'd love you forever, haha.) xxxKenseIxxx
I hope it is possible in Skyrim...after all they got a brand new engine.
SkyrimeisterSam
1000% agree and support this. When I first played Oblivion I tried for ages to hang rats on trees by shooting an arrow through their tail, was very disappointed. This mod would be amazing. *Spoilers* The map of the dragon burial sites you get from Delphine, how epic would it be if you could take that, put it in your house and hang it up by shooting an arrow through it :D Edit: Come to think of it, you could hang up all your bounties via arrows, it'd look so epic. xxxKenseIxxx
Not only the bounties, anything really.
SkyrimeisterSam
Somehow I'd think it look odd if you had 3 frost trolls hanging off iron arrows in your home, but still, this mod needs to be implemented xd
xxxKenseIxxx
Well it could depend on the arrows, but mostly i think it should depend on the ratio damage/enemy health. As in if you drop an enemy in 1 hit it will be an instant impale, where if you drop them with 2 it could be harder. Either that, or on the ratio damage/health left. Meaning that you kill someone at low health with a critical strike, and that would be an instant impale.
SkyrimeisterSam
You also have to deal with how thin the enemy is, so it should be easy to impale a skeever, but as mentioned before, could be tricky for a troll. You should also be able to do it to dead bodies, I'd hang particularly troublesome bandits in my house so I would be reminded of my handiwork every time I come home (in game). Drytor
Smaller enemies generally have lower health anyway and are more prone to "flying lessons" when hit with an arrow. could it be implemented in a way that means the harder they get shot back the more likely they are to be impaled? I think it's based mainly on the strength of the attack vs. their health anyway so possibly not too difficult?
xxxKenseIxxx
I don't know if it's even possible to implement thin/fat ratio to the thing. To be honest it's a game with dragons, i don't think that much realism is needed....it's not there to begin with anyway.
